1969
Mersey Mailmen
I'm Warm for You

The Maulers first recording, they were then known as the Mersey Mailmen. Note that Eddie Vas Deferenz was absent from the photo shoot and a janitor in the building named "Derv" took his place. Derv also did the final mix of the album and played bass on a couple of tracks.

1970
Silver Maulers
Experience the Silver Maulers

You can tell from the album cover that this was released during the height of rock music's psychedelic era. Fortunately for the Silver Maulers, because of the high use of LSD during this period, everything sounded pretty good.

1971
Maulers
Rude Awakening

The controversial cover had a large, naked, seven foot tall black man climbing into bed with a 92 year old woman. The cover was condemned by every known organization including the Daughters of the American Revolution, The John Birch Society and The Rockers For Satan Association.

1973
Maulers
Taking Full Advantage

The cover was in response to the controversy caused by the previous album. The same seven foot tall black man from the "Rude Awakening" album was climbing into bed with a quadraplegic 14 year old girl. This album was met with not only condemnation, but with violence directed against their record company. The 52 story Penisaurus Records Building was dived bombed from Korean surplus planes.

1974
Maulers
Tool of Obedience

This album was a departure for the band. Produced by Bob Ezrin, it showed a darker side of the Maulers. Songs such as "Time to Die" and "The Stench of Love" turned off many of the bands hard core fans. Note: this was the first and last time the "umlaut" was used.

1975
Maulers
Dressed to Maul

Was the Maulers return to the gut wrenching, fist pounding rock and roll for which they were noted. This album featured the single "Beaver Circus" which was the band's first breakthrough hit.

1976
Maulers
Dredging for Pleasure

The Maulers first concept album, although no one is really sure what the concept is. Buzz Epstein of Aging Rocker Magazine said "I could dredge my ass and come up with better shit that this."

1977
Maulers
Mauled (live)

The world's first quadruple live album. Unfortunately, the four-record set, which also included a T-shirt, poster, drum sticks, guitar picks, coffee mug, tour book and a toaster oven didn't sell as well as hoped. The retail price of the set was $79.95 which was a lot of money in 1977 and the package was the size of a small suitcase.

1979
Maulers (w/ Jane Fonda)
Maulercize

Peter Thruster had been infatuated with Ms. Fonda ever since he saw Barbarella and wanted to "work" with her. Pete got Deryk St. Derrick to convince the rest of the band this was a good idea. Although St. Derrick denies it was because Pete had photos of him in women's undergarments.

1981
Maulers
Read 'em and Weep

A "greatest hits" album, some fans were upset that the cover made no references to this. In fact, the words "re-released previously recorded material" appear on the cover eleven times, although it is in very fine print.

1984
Maulers
Live at Budokan

The sound quality of this album was very poor, possibly because it was recorded from a backstage phone left off the hook, through the trans-pacific cable onto Deryk St. Derrick's answering machine in the United States.

1985
Maulers
Wee Crinkly Hairs

Believed to be the first album recorded entirely in a men's room of a train station, something the band is extremely proud of to this day. If you listen close, you can hear an urinal flush several times. As for the title, have you ever seen the urinals in a men's room of a train station?

1986
Maulers
Knob and Tube

The last group recording before the release of the solo albums. Tensions were building and it showed in the result- Penisaurus Records refused to release the album. A team of producers, including Mutt Lange and Ted Templeman, were brought in to save the project. After several months of work they gave up and Penisaurus released the album anyway.

1987
Peter Thruster/Alex Vas Deferenz
Thruster/Vas Deferenz Project

It was no secret that Thruster and Vas Deferenz were considering leaving the Maulers and they tested the waters by recording an album together. It got some airplay, mainly on junior college stations, but it's low sales convinced Pete and Alex to say put.

1987
Slats Magnum
Drain My Sack

When Pete and Alex announced the "Thruster/Vas Deferenz Project", Slats said "Fuck you guys I'll do my own fucking album." The title song, released as a single, climbed the charts and eventually reached #7- surpassing anything the Maulers had done as a group.

1988
Peter Thruster
Crack of Night

Pete assembled some of the finest musicians of the time to play on his solo album. Included were: Eric Clapton- guitar, Keith Emerson- keyboards, John Paul Jones- bass, Phil Collins- drums and Jim "Dandy" Mangrum- washboard.

1989
Alex Vas Deferenz
Pantload of Disaster

Away from the Maulers, Alex was free to showcase his revolutionary "pound-on" technique which has inspired many young people to follow in his footsteps. Some have even taken up the guitar, but most of them just drink heavily.

1990
Alex Vas Deferenz
Blastula Turborundum

Truly a solo effort as Alex was the only musician featured on the album which had only two songs: Blastula Parts I and II. Basically a 40 minute guitar solo, it did get rave reviews from Turkish hash users.

1991
Maulers
Let's Get Mauled Again (live)

Recorded during dates in Vietnam, Laos and Thailand, the sound quality was even worse than the Budokan disaster. In addition, the final five cuts are just recordings of the Maulers having sex and none of these "songs" last over five minutes, with Pastey's coming in at 14 seconds.

1994
Maulers (w/ BB King)
The Maulers are Blue

A bit misleading in that B.B. Kings appearence on this album was a bootleg copy of him tuning up.

1997
Maulers
Maulerpalooza (live)

The triumphant return of the Maulers to the United States was documented for all to buy. The Maulers wanted all their fans to know how much they missed them and give them the opportunity to help recharge their bank account.

1998
Maulers
The Maulers Box Set

Includes every Mauler album ever produced (digitally remastered) and highlights of the band's live shows during the exile years in Europe and Asia. Unfortunately, the remastering work was done with a Commodore 64 Computer found in the basement of the Penisaurus building.

1999
Various Artists
Maximum Carnage

The Mauler tribute album. Will be somewhat different than other tribute albums in that the featured bands will not be covering Mauler songs. Instead, they will re-record their own material while extremely intoxicated in order to get that "Maulers" sound.

1999
Various Artists
Dong

Eddie Vas Deferenz, founding member of the Maulers and brother of current lead guitarist Alex Vas Deferenz, is remembered by his peers on this tribute album. Although Ed was finally declared legally dead in 1998 after being missing for over 20 years, his music lives on. Artists included on the album are: Brian May, Sting, Joan Jett, Lemmy, Angus Young, Dweezil Zappa, Jon Bon Jovi, and Edward Van Halen, whose band was declared legally dead in 1998.

2000
Maulers
Penisaurus Envy

The Maulers insist they were "tricked" into signing another deal for a 20 year tour with Deryk St. Derrick and Penisaurus Productions. With such song titles as "Bleed Me Dry", "Management Incubus" and "(What was that I signed) Mr. Fucker", shows the Maulers are a tad bit unhappy with the new deal. However, there is a bright spot on the new recording, the critics are raving about the Maulers cover of Grand Funk Railroad's "T.N.U.C."

2001
Maulers
Deryk Say Rock Or No Eat

"Deryk Say Rock Or No Eat is the Mauler's finest effort in years!" -Peter Travers, Rolling Stone

"I loved Deryk Say Rock Or No Eat!" - S. Spielberg

"My turntable is being hogged by Deryk Say Rock Or No Eat!"- B. Clinton

"God Bless the Maulers and Deryk Say Rock Or No Eat!"- P. J. Paul II

2002
Maulers
Untitled

All great artists have released an "untitled" album, so why not the Maulers? At least you get a cool picture on it and not just a crappy all white or black cover.
