There's nothing Leonard "Bitch" Pastey, guitarist of the Maulers, would rather do on a cold January morn than put on his fuzzy slippers and watch TV. "I don't care if they're reruns, I'll just put my feet right up on the hassock and watch and watch. Sometimes, if there's nothing good on, like Charlie's Angels or the A-Team, I'll get up and make some cocoa with marshmallows. But not the multi-colored ones. I find those distracting."
Bitch's solo project, Reeking with the Blood of Noble Men, never quite got off the ground, but he can be heard singing backup on Britney Spears new song, a cover of Alice Cooper's I'm Eighteen. His favorite color is yellow, because it's the "color of Farrah's hair", or, as Maulers manager Deryk St. Derrick observes, "that's the color of the stain on the front of his trousers about 5 minutes before every show". Oh that Deryk!
Bitch comes from a family of talented musicians, his father was guitar innovator Les Pastey and after he died in 1975 from an exploded colon, Bitch dedicated a new guitar line to the memory of his dad. In March of 2001, Bitch was the keynote speaker at the convention of the National Association of Roofing Contractors.
