When not out on tour, the Maulers lead guitarist, Alex Vas Deferenz can often be found racing his '65 Jag XKE Supertwin on Route 66 or girlwatching at Redondo Beach. Alex likes to unwind by bungee jumping out of his Fokker Triplane at high speed. Little known fact-when Alex was a child, he was rather hyperactive and was given regular doses of whiskey by his father, Alex Sr. to calm him down. "That put some sand in his socks" papa Alex confided in a recent interview.
